B-1B, PTO Ball Socket Housing

The Government is seeking to procure 200 B-1B Ball Socket Housings under a Firm-Fixed-Price supply contract with a required delivery date of 15 April 2028. The item, identified by National Stock Number 2835016525980RP and manufacturer part number 2886195, is a critical component for the B-1B Lancer aircraft and must be constructed from high-strength steel with a carbon graphite insert. The acquisition is being conducted as a sole-source procurement under FAR 6.302-1 due to Collins Aerospace (CAGE 99551) holding the proprietary technical data rights necessary to manufacture the part, with no other responsible sources capable of fulfilling the requirement. A First Article, including a formal First Article Test Report, must be submitted and approved prior to full production, and all delivered items must be uniquely identified with IUID markings in compliance with federal standards. Shipping is FOB Origin to the DoDAAC SW3210 at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, with early shipments permitted at no additional cost to the Government. Production lots must undergo quality assurance testing per ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 using General Inspection Level II and an AQL of 1.0, with inspection and acceptance governed by FAR 46.401(b) and FAR 46.503. Invoices must be submitted through Wide Area WorkFlow, and all packaging must adhere to the specifications outlined in the Contract Data Requirements List. Offerors must maintain current, accurate representations and certifications in SAM, including compliance with the Buy American Act and federal supply chain security requirements, and are solely responsible for all bid and proposal costs. Proposals and capability statements are due by 10 July 2026 at 4:00 PM Mountain Time and must be submitted to the designated point of contact at Hill AFB.
