Full Description

The Washington County Register of Deeds Office is seeking proposals from qualified firms to perform indexing and image quality control for previously recorded documents. Washington County previously completed a scanning and indexing project that included one grantor/grantee name, which was completed in 2006. This project builds off of the work previously completed and generally consists of reviewing image quality, sight verifying and adding additional grantor/grantee name(s), delete duplication of name(s), add document date, and legal description directly into the Register of Deeds electronic land records system. The County would like to complete 10 or more years’ worth of records (1980-1993), adding missing grantor and grantee name(s), document date, and legal description(s) and has roughly 231,000 documents recorded in that timeframe. Each document index and image will need to be accessed in the Register of Deeds electronic land records system and reviewed to verify and update its database index values. The County’s target is to have the base work of this request be completed to the County’s satisfaction by September 30, 2026.
