Full Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with BAE Systems, Nashua, NH for ten (10) each Diode Bite Multiplexers, Part Number (P/N) 4078800G1 and five (5) each Microprocessor, P/N 4078735G1, in support of the Interrogator System AN/UPX-29 which includes the Antenna Group OE-120( )/UPX. The required items will be used as spare assets supporting Procurement Based Logistics (PBL) and overhaul efforts of systems identified above and currently in use by the fleet. BAE Systems is the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the Antenna Group OE-120( )/UPX and OE-120A/UPX equipment and components and is the only source with the technical data to manufacture the required parts. The Government intends to award this requirement under the authority of 10 USC 3204 (c) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government, not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
