This synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for any information solicited. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to identify potential sources that are interested in and capable of providing the items described herein. As a result of this Sources Sought, 6 CONS may issue a Solicitation/Request for Quote (RFQ). However, should such a requirement materialize, no basis for claims against 6 CONS shall arise as a result of a response to this Sources Sought (e.g., use of such information as either part of its evaluation process or in developing specifications for any subsequent requirement.) GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: The 6th Contracting Squadron is seeking vendors who can provide the following: two (2) BAE Systems SOCET SET NGATE licenses with associated annual maintenance agreements. NGATE (Next Generation Automatic Terrain Extraction) is an add-on to the USSOCOM Geospatial Branch's existing SOCET SET Automated Terrain Extraction (ATE) and provides a significant improvement over the basic ATE function. Next Generation Automatic Terrain Extraction (NGATE) is the only known product that provides the necessary upgrades within the existing SOCET SET software currently in use by USSOCOM. The Branch utilizes SOCET SET Automated Terrain Extraction (ATE) to create a rough Digital Terrain Model from stereo imagery. Geospatial Branch currently utilizes BAE SOCET SET as its primary means for imagery orthorectification, image processing, terrain and feature model extraction. NGATE improves the existing capabilities found within SOCET SETs core functionality by drastically improving speed and accuracy of automatic DEM extraction. BAE SOCET SET is the community standard for this type of production. BAE Systems is the sole provider for SOCET SET and the NGATE plug in.
