The solicitation seeks a vertical tilt frame bandsaw, specifically the Amada VT4555M or an equivalent model, for delivery to the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, Virginia, with a required delivery date of August 21, 2026. The requirement includes the bandsaw unit along with a total of five specialized vise jaw sets: one standard set that comes with the machine, one additional standard vise set, two high jaw square vise sets (one complete unit and one set of jaws only), and two 45-degree high jaw vise sets (one complete unit and one set of jaws only). The machine must be equipped with a standard power tilt feature and accept 16'4" x 1.25" x 0.42" blades, replacing the previously specified 15'4" blades; twenty such blades are required. All equipment must be packaged and palletized for forklift off-loading, marked with “UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT, DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE,” and labeled with weight in pounds; yellow coloring is strictly prohibited. Items must be marked according to MIL-STD-130 and MIL-STD-129, with all identifiers being machine-readable and verifiable by AIT devices compliant with Appendix A of MIL-STD-130.
