Barracuda Spam and Virus Firewall

AWARD OF A CONTRACT IS CONTINGENT UPON AN AGENCY DECISION TO FUND THIS REQUIREMENT. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is CPSC-Q-10-0077. It is the responsibility of interested sources to monitor FedBizOpps for any amendments to the solicitation. The following provisions and clauses are enclosed in the solicitation attachment: 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5. All quotes must be valid through September 30, 2010. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 423430. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) intends to procure Barracuda Spam & Virus Firewall Software. In response to this notice quoters must submit pricing for: CLIN 0001 Barracuda networks: Barracuda Spam & Virus Firewall 600 with 3 year energize upgrades, part number BSF600A3 (2 EA) CLIN 0002 Barracuda networks: 3 year instant replacement for Barracuda Spam & Virus Firewall 600, part number BSF600A-H3 (2 EA) The CPSC intends to award one firm fixed-price contract to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. If you are interested in this award, then please complete the attached RFQ as follows: Cover sheet (standard form 1449) - Block 17 with the contractor's name, DUNS number, address and telephone number must be complete. The signature, name and title of an individual authorized to commit the company must complete blocks 30a, 30b, and 30c of the Standard Form 1449. All quoters must have a Tax identification number and be registered with the Central Contracting registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award of this contract. Quoters must complete and submit the clause 52.212.-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items. Basis for Award 1. The government will award this procurement to the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror. All charges and fees shall be evaluated to determine lowest price. The contractor shall be responsible for meeting all aspects of the contract terms and conditions. 2.
