Barrie Transit Bus Stop Signs

The City of Barrie has issued Request for Quotations FIN2026-166Q for the fabrication, supply, delivery, and installation of new Barrie Transit bus stop signage throughout the City of Barrie. The project includes a second phase scheduled for the spring and summer of 2027, focusing on the fabrication and installation of custom signage. All materials must comply with Ontario Traffic Manual standards and accessibility requirements, featuring a minimum ten-year service life with resistance to UV exposure, extreme temperatures, and road salt. Technical specifications require precise dimensions, specific font usage, and adherence to City branding guidelines. The contract is expected to run from the date of execution until approximately July 31, 2028, or until the conclusion of the warranty period. Quotations must be submitted electronically via the Bids and Tenders portal no later than October 8, 2026, at 2:00 PM local time; hard copy submissions will not be accepted. The City will evaluate proposals through a three-stage process consisting of a review of mandatory submission requirements, a review of mandatory technical requirements, and a final pricing evaluation. The contract will be awarded to the lowest-priced compliant respondent. Selected suppliers will be paid monthly via Electronic Funds Transfer and must provide a valid WSIA clearance certificate if applicable. All respondents are responsible for their own insurance costs and must adhere to ethical business practices and MFIPPA privacy regulations.
