Sampling and testing for materials like aggregate and concrete must be performed by approved commercial laboratories in accordance with ASTM standards, with results submitted within 24 hours. Finished surfaces must conform to strict tolerance levels, including no more than 1/8 inch longitudinal and 1/4 inch transverse deviation from a 12-foot straightedge and no more than 0.05 foot variation from approved plan elevations.
