The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), using State and Federal funds, proposes to remove the existing northbound passing lane on State Route (SR) 395 between postmile (PM) 57.0 and 57.8 in Lassen County. The project will replace the pavement, restripe the roadway, install rumble strips, replace pavement markers, adjust or reconstruct guardrail and update roadside signs and pavement markings as needed. All work will occur within the existing roadway prism with no increase in disturbed area maximum estimated ground disturbance is approximately one half foot.
