(WBO) for acquisition of battery packs to support remote environmental monitoring stations maintained by the Center for Operational Oceanographic Products and Services (CO-OPS). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this acquisition is 335912, Primary Battery Manufacturing, with a business size standard of 1000 employees. The Warehouse Battery Outlet (WBO) is the sole manufacturer and sole distributor of the required battery packs, Part Number: 26-MN1300D which are the sole battery packs utilized by CO-OPS for all ATON and iATON waterway current measurement stations as part of Physical Oceanographic Real-Time Systems (PORTS) throughout the United States. These battery packs support existing stations in CO-OPS network of environmental monitoring stations. Significant engineering effort was utilized to ensure all interior components fit in the space available and are of appropriate materials and quality and are electrically compatible with the gauges they are to be integrated into. Implementing different components will result in substantial additional cost and resources and will significantly delay the build of these mission critical items needed to support continued hydrography and photogrammetry.
