AI Contract Overview
The contract entails the procurement of three lead-acid 12-volt storage batteries, specifically Power-Sonic Corporation part number PG-12V35FR, identified by NSN 6140-01-586-0626. These are commercial off-the-shelf items with a Type I classification and a non-extendable 12-month shelf life, delivered complete with two bolts and washers per battery to facilitate cable attachment. The batteries must comply with specified technical and quality standards outlined in the Defense Logistics Agency’s (DLA) Master List, including packaging and marking requirements according to MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129, as well as hazardous material handling procedures. Sampling and inspection methods conform to military inspection standards MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331, ensuring zero non-conformances in acceptance sampling unless otherwise stated. The delivery terms specify a 20-day delivery window with FOB destination and inspection and acceptance occurring at the destination address, which is the USS RUSHMORE LSD 47, unit FPO AP 96677. Packaging will follow DLA's standard requirements with appropriate shelf-life marking, hazardous communication labeling, and removal of government identification for any non-accepted items. Mercury content restrictions apply, allowing only functional mercury as specified. Administrative and contract details, including the solicitation number SPE7L7-26-T-2676 and point of contact information, are included to facilitate procurement and communication.
