AI Contract Overview
This contract specifies the procurement of sealed lead acid storage batteries identified by NSN 6140016289869, with a total quantity of six units to be delivered under solicitation SPE7L7-26-T-4281. The batteries are classified as Type I with a non-extendable shelf life of 12 months and must comply with strict packaging, marking, and shipping requirements per MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129, including special marking code 32 to indicate shelf-life classification. Packaging must adhere to DLA’s packaging requirements and IP025 standards for hazardous materials, with no mercury or mercury-containing compounds allowed except where functionally necessary and explicitly permitted by NAVSEA guidelines. All items must be shipped via traceable freight methods, excluding parcel post, and delivered FOB destination with zero tolerance for quantity variance. Inspection and acceptance occur at the destination. Two separate delivery points are designated: one in Lansing, Michigan, for three units due by July 2, 2026, and another at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, for the remaining three units due by July 6, 2026. Each delivery line item carries a unit price of $6.00, totaling $36.00, with the contract enforceable under the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements incorporating MIL-STD-1916 or equivalent zero-based sampling plans for quality verification. Critical attributes must meet verification level VII or an AQL of 0.1, with all unspecified attributes treated as major. Documentation requirements include MSDS/PSDS per FED-STD-313 and compliance with MIL-STD-130N for item marking. Deliveries must be made within 20 days of order, and the contract is controlled by the DLA, with primary point of contact Tiffany Merritt, and is subject to defense logistics regulations applicable to federal procurements under NAICS code 335910.
