AI Contract Overview
This contract specifies the procurement of lead acid wet batteries for storage use, identified by NSN 6140-01-600-9507 and part number MTP-78DT, under solicitation SPE7L7-26-T-4289. The item is classified as a commercial off-the-shelf product with adequate catalog data available for evaluation, and it must comply with stringent technical and quality requirements referenced from the DLA Master List. The battery has a Type I shelf life of six months, non-extendable, and requires strict adherence to packaging standards outlined in MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129, including special marking code 32 for shelf life designation. Sampling must follow MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331 Table 1, with zero non-conformances required for acceptance unless otherwise stipulated. Hazardous material handling rules apply, prohibiting intentional addition of mercury except in functional components like batteries, with an additional containment boundary mandated for any mercury compounds present. Delivery is FOB destination, with a firm quantity of two units required and no variance allowed. The item must be delivered within 20 days of contract award to the specified destination at Camp Pendleton, California, and must be shipped via traceable means only—parcel post is prohibited. Packaging and shipping of hazardous materials must conform to IP025 guidelines, and palletization must follow DLA packaging requirements. The contract includes specific freight and parcel post addresses, with the delivery point and inspection point both at the destination. The required delivery date is July 2, 2026, and the contract is subject to federal acquisition regulations. The item is designated as a critical application item, and all documentation, including hazardous material safety data sheets, must comply with FED-STD-313E. Contract performance is closely monitored with government-specific codes and identifiers for traceability and accountability.
