This contract is for the procurement of three 12-volt sealed lead acid storage batteries under solicitation SPE7L7-26-Q-2214. The items are classified as critical application components with a firm fixed price and a delivery requirement of 187 days after order. The batteries have a non-extendable shelf life of 12 months, and they must retain at least 85 percent of that shelf life upon delivery. The agreement mandates strict adherence to DLA packaging and marking standards, including MIL-STD-129 and hazardous materials shipping regulations. Specifically, nonspillable batteries must be securely packed, terminals protected, and clearly marked as nonspillable to meet DOT exceptions. Quality assurance will be managed through zero-based sampling plans per MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331. The final destination for the shipment is the USS Billings (LCS-15), and the contractor must use traceable shipping means.
