Beach Access Dune Walkovers

The City of St. Pete Beach is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for the design and construction of Beach Access Dune System Walkovers at multiple locations, including 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 51st, and 52nd Avenues. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the wooden walkovers in accordance with city plans and specifications. The project must be completed within six months of contract execution, with a warranty period for defects extending up to 18 months after final acceptance. All work must comply with OSHA safety standards, Florida Department of Environmental Protection rules, and local environmental regulations. Bids must be submitted electronically via Bonfire or DemandStar by January 8, 2025, at 9:00 AM EST. Evaluation is qualitative and discretionary, focusing on the contractor's firm history, personnel experience, bonding capacity, and professional references from the past five years. Additionally, bidders must provide evidence of compliance with Florida statutes, including E-Verify registration and a Public Entity Criminal Affidavit. The City retains full discretion in the award process and may select a firm based on the best interests of the City.
