This solicitation requires the supply of 11 duplex ball bearings with NSN 3110-00-409-9545 under a firm fixed price contract with no variance allowed in quantity. The bearings must be manufactured entirely in the United States, its outlying areas, or Canada, with over 50% of the cost of all bearing components—rolling elements, retainer, inner race, and outer race—originating from these regions. Contractors must submit a declaration verifying the domestic origin of materials, and failure to provide this may disqualify the offer. The item is designated as a Critical Safety Item by the Air Force and is subject to stringent configuration control, requiring markings per MIL-STD-129 with lot and serial numbers, contractor and manufacturer CAGE codes, and part number. Physical identification follows MIL-STD-130N, and packaging must comply with MIL-STD-2073-1E, MIL-DTL-197M, and DLA-specific packaging requirements, including preservation methods tailored to bearing type and closure. Inspections and acceptance occur at origin, and all quality conformance is governed by SAE AS9100 standards. Technical and quality requirements are drawn from the DLA Master List, and documentation such as the Certificate of Quality Compliance is mandatory. Delivery is due within 400 days after order date, and the contract is subject to cancellation if no compliant offers are received.
