This contract is for the procurement of 22 tapered roller bearings identified by NSN 3110-00-100-5801 and part number AA59651-067, classified as a commercial item and designated as a critical application item with no shelf life requirement. The bearings must be manufactured in the United States, its outlying areas, or Canada, with over 50% of the cost of all bearing components—rolling elements, retainer, inner race, and outer race—originating from these regions, as mandated by DFARS 252.225-7016. Contractors must submit a declaration regarding the domestic or foreign origin of materials, Failure to provide this documentation will disqualify the quote. The item is subject to stringent quality and technical requirements referenced from the DLA Master List, with inspection and acceptance occurring at origin, and no unit identification marking is required per the Service customer’s request. Packaging must comply with MIL-STD-2073-1E, MIL-DTL-197M, and DLA-specific packaging guidelines, including preservation methods tailored to bearing type and closure, protective lubricants, and marking in accordance with MIL-STD-129. Mercury and mercury-containing compounds are prohibited unless used in approved functional components such as batteries, lighting, sensors, or weapon systems, with portable devices containing mercury requiring shockproof construction and secondary containment. All packaging, preservation, and shipment must adhere to the specified conditions, with delivery due within 171 days FOB origin under a firm fixed price of $22.00 per unit.
