The item is classified as a critical application component and must adhere to stringent technical and quality requirements referenced from the DLA Master List, including tailored higher-level contract quality standards and packaging mandates under DLA Packaging Requirements. Mercury and mercury-containing compounds are strictly prohibited in any part of the product, preservation, packaging, or marking processes, with limited exceptions only for specific functional components like certain batteries, instruments, or reagents specified by NAVSEA, all of which must include secondary containment. Delivery is required FOB origin within 136 days of contract award, with inspection and acceptance occurring at the destination facility located at DDSP New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. The unit of issue is each, with zero variance allowed in quantity, and all packaging must conform to MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129, using preservation method 33 and unit packaging code E5. Item Unique Identification is not required per the service customer’s request, in accordance with DFARS 252.211-7003.
