AI Contract Overview
This contract involves the procurement of a single unit of a thrust washer bearing, specified by National Stock Number 3120-01-497-0626. The solicitation, issued by the Department of Defense's Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), specifically the ASC Commodities Division, requires the delivery of one bearing unit within 20 days to Pearl Harbor. The contract incorporates various technical and quality requirements from the DLA Master List, which governs both simplified and larger acquisitions with respect to the controlling revisions and amendments. Key compliance mandates include DLA packaging standards, higher-level contract quality requirements, and removal of government identification from rejected supplies. Unique item identification is not required for this procurement as per customer request. Additionally, the contract emphasizes strict export control regulations due to the inclusion of technical data subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Access and distribution of such data are limited to contractors certified under the US/Canada Joint Certification Program and trained in handling export-controlled technical information, adhering to the relevant DFARS clauses. The contract’s solicitation deadline is May 8, 2026, and the primary point of contact is Tracy Fletcher at the DLA, who can be reached via email or phone for further inquiries. The overall NAICS code applicable to this acquisition is 332991, covering precision bearing manufacturing.
