Beaumont Early Childhood Education Center

The Beaumont Unified School District is implementing the Beaumont Early Childhood Education Center project at the Anna M. Hause Elementary School campus, located at 1015 Carnation Lane in Beaumont, California. The project involves the construction of 19,846 square feet of facilities, consisting of two single-story buildings that will house eight classrooms, administrative offices, a conference room, a staff lounge, a nurse's office, and custodial areas. Site improvements include new play areas, a lunch shelter, a bus drop-off and pick-up zone, various parking areas, and a solar photovoltaic structure in parking lot 2, along with campus-wide circulation and infrastructure enhancements such as an on-site storm drain system. The project is scheduled to begin construction on October 1, 2026, with an operational target year of 2028. Comprehensive environmental reviews have been completed, including a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, a Traffic Impact Study, and a Title 5 Schools Facilities Evaluation Report. The project has been approved under the California Environmental Quality Act via a Mitigated Negative Declaration, ensuring that potential impacts on air quality, biological resources, and cultural assets are mitigated. Key compliance requirements include adherence to ADA standards for catch basin grates, the implementation of closed-campus safety protocols with secured fencing and Knox Boxes, and the employment of a qualified archaeologist for ground-disturbing activities.
