Halifax Water is seeking a manufacturer to design, fabricate, deliver, commission, and support the startup and testing of new high lift pumps and associated components for the Bennery Lake Water Supply Plant, located near Goffs, Nova Scotia. The pumps will replace one or two existing units as part of an asset renewal initiative to ensure continued compliance and operational reliability for the plant, which provides treated water to the Halifax Stanfield International Airport and Aerotech Business Park. The manufacturer is responsible for supplying all equipment, including necessary appurtenances, to meet technical specifications, with the clear understanding that variable frequency drives are excluded and will be procured under a separate contract. The equipment will be pre-purchased by Halifax Water and later installed by a separate general contractor, meaning the manufacturer's obligations focus on providing fully compliant, ready-to-install units supported by comprehensive technical coordination. This includes responding to contractor inquiries during installation, providing on-site assistance during commissioning, and delivering complete operator training. The manufacturer must also produce and submit detailed documentation, including shop drawings for review and approval, operations and maintenance manuals, and a final record package upon project completion. While there is no cost associated with acquiring these documents, the manufacturer is expected to fully support the general contractor throughout their execution phase. The solicitation, identified as Q94-2025, was posted on June 5, 2026, with responses due by June 26, 2026, and is governed under the Canadian federal procurement framework, though administered locally by Halifax Water as a Nova Scotia public sector entity. All tender amendments and the most current documentation must be accessed through the Nova Scotia Procurement Portal, as notices on CanadaBuys may not reflect recent updates. Interested parties should be prepared for potential third-party platform requirements to view documents or submit bids, and all inquiries should be directed to the contracting authority listed.
