BEP DCF BPS 2000 Move NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to issue a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Giesecke & Devrient "G+D", located at 45925 Horseshoe Drive, Dulles, VA 20166. The contract will be to support the relocation of two BPS2000 machines within the Bureau of Engraving and Printing District of Columbia Currency Facility "DCF". This service will be provided at BEP DCF located 14th and C Streets SW, Washington, DC 20024. Giesecke & Devrient is identified as the sole source for providing all personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and any other items and non-personal services necessary to uninstall, disassemble, transport, reinstall, reassemble, test and provide all electrical work for the relocation of 2 BPS2000 machines. This firm is the only source identified to provide this service for the BEP DCF. Companies believing they can provide the relocation of the two BPS2000s without impact to the warranty provisions of these equipment are asked to provide written notification within 5 days of the posting date of this notice to the Contracting Officer with supporting evidence to that effect in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability to meet the stated requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses received within the due date of the special notice will be considered for future requirements for the Government. The due date and time for responses is Tuesday, 21 May 2019 at 12:00PM EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement on future requirements. Responses shall be emailed to the Government point of contact below. Responses should include the firm's Dun and Bradstreet number and Tax Identification Number. Firms should identify business size (i.e. small business, other than small business, etc.) in accordance with the size standard for NAICS Code 541330. This notice may represent the only official notice of this requirement.
