BHA26009 - Provision of External Mobility Scooter Storage

Barcud Cyfyngedig is soliciting the provision of two external mobility scooter storage units and associated works at Llys Pedr and Hafan yr Efail in Wales. The project involves site preparation, including the removal of existing walls and grass, the installation of 200mm RC35 concrete slabs, and the supply of MetroStor buggy store PSH 48.38 units. Each unit must accommodate six mobility scooters and include interior and exterior lighting along with eight prewired charging points. Additional requirements include the installation of galvanized pedestrian bolt-down barriers, rainwater gullys, and ACO drains, ensuring all paths are accessible, slip-resistant, and durable. The contract is governed by the RIBA Concise Contract 2018 Edition, with an estimated performance period from January 4, 2027, to March 1, 2027. Award criteria are based 100% on price. The contractor is responsible for waste disposal, site security, and providing a comprehensive building manual and health and safety file upon completion. Key safety requirements include compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and COSHH Regulations, as well as the provision of specific personal protective equipment for the employer and contract administrator. Provisional sums of 2,000 GBP are allocated for electrical work at each site.
