Biogas And Biosolids Evaluation: Digester 1 Cleaning

Bid #46t090: The project involves the cleaning and interior surface preparation of Digester 1 at the City of San Mateo Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Owner will handle the safe shutdown, pre-draining, and gas purging of the digester. The Contractor's scope includes removing and disposing of all remaining digester contents offsite, high-pressure washing all interior surfaces, erecting interior scaffolding, and preparing the interior surfaces for inspection and condition assessment. Subsequent repair and coating will be performed under a separate contract, but the scaffolding installed by this Contractor will remain in place for that future work. The Contractor will return later to dismantle and remove the scaffolding. An optional bid item allows for screening and transferring digester contents to Digester 2 to reduce offsite disposal volume.
