Prototype development for Battlefield Wound Infection Prevention and Treatment (BWI P&T) Barrier Combination
Solicitation # HT9427-26-R-E020
The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity is seeking proposals for the development of a Battlefield Wound Infection Prevention and Treatment Barrier Combination prototype. This product must integrate a physical wound barrier with antimicrobial and antifungal properties to prevent systemic infections in combat scenarios. The project aims to advance the technology to a Technology Readiness Level of 7 or 8, requiring the development of a working prototype, the execution of human clinical trials, and the successful submission for FDA approval or clearance. To be eligible, offerors must be nontraditional defense contractors, small businesses, or provide significant cost-sharing.
