Bliven Grading Abatement

The Bliven Grading Abatement project, identified as PLN22-031, is an environmental remediation and grading effort managed by the County of Santa Clara. Located at 13565 Foothill Ave in San Martin, California, the project involves the removal of approximately 990 cubic yards of unpermitted fill containing the toxin dieldrin, along with additional grading work. In total, the project encompasses the movement and remediation of approximately 1,620 cubic yards of soil. The project was approved on October 1, 2025, and is governed by a Mitigated Negative Declaration prepared under the California Environmental Quality Act. As a condition of approval, the project must adhere to specific mitigation measures and a designated monitoring program to ensure there are no significant environmental effects.
