The contractor shall provide Rotary Cutter mowing Units for Bonnet Carre Spillway as outlined in the Bidding Schedule and Material & Requirements Paragraphs. The contractor is responsible for purchasing and delivery of the units to the Bonnet Carre Spillway's project maintenance yard (16302 River Rd., Norco, LA). Furnish the number of tractor towed Rotary Cutters (Mowers) indicated in the bid schedule. Mowers shall have 15 foot total cutting width with two flexible wings. Cutting capacity shall be up to 5 inch in diameter with mowing deck minimum thickness of 1/4 inch. The transfer gearbox shall have minimum 250 HP and cutting gearboxes shall have minimum 225 HP. Input Drivelines and cutting Drivelines shall be Cat. 6. Wing decks must be able to flex up 90 Degrees and down 25 degrees. Mowers shall be capable of Tractor PTO Speeds of 540 or 1,000 RPMs. Cutting blades shall be minimum 1/2 inch x 5 inch. Deck shall include chains guards. Mower wheels/tires shall be solid tires and rims. Tires shall not be pneumatic, foam filled or laminated units.
