AI Contract Overview
The contract specifies the procurement of 4 each of a 4-ounce plastic bottle with a screw cap and liner, cylindrical in shape, measuring 4 inches in overall height and 2.235 inches in diameter, permanently labeled "USED OIL." The item is not classified as medical and must be supplied with its part number as identified by either DRESSER-ARGUS, INC (P/N 7529) or GERIN CORP INC (P/N DCA314). A minimum purchase of seven units is required, though the contract quantity is listed as four, suggesting the buyer must meet the minimum threshold. Packaging must comply fully with DLA Packaging Requirements for Procurement, ensuring each unit is sealed in a protective container and shipped in commercial exterior containers suitable for safe delivery by common carrier at the lowest rate to the destination. All packaging and labeling must adhere to Medical Marking Standard No. 1, which supersedes MIL-STD-129, and must meet DLA’s Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements. The material is not hazardous under FED-STD-313 and must be commercially packaged in accordance with ASTM D3951, but DLA requirements override ASTM standards. Mercury and mercury-containing compounds are strictly prohibited unless exempted for specific functional uses like batteries or instruments, and any portable devices containing mercury must have shockproof design and a secondary containment. Delivery is FOB destination with a 20-day lead time, inspection and acceptance occur at the destination, and shipping must be via traceable freight—not parcel post—to the specified Navy location in Port Hueneme, CA. The contract ID is SPE2DS-26-T-052U, with a required delivery date of May 8, 2026, and a response deadline of May 12, 2026.
