The U.S. Department of the Army, Pine Bluff Arsenal (PBA), Directorate for Chemical and Biological Defense Operations is seeking information for market research purpose regarding a potential requirement for materials for the production of the Chemical Patient Protective Wrap (CPPW). The CPPW enables patients to be transported and treated safely during evacuation through chemically contaminated areas. It is used in forward areas on the battlefield such as Battalion Aid Stations and Medical Companies. The CPPW is also intended for use with patients at Combat Support Hospitals. Materials for the CPPW must adhere to specific drawings and specifications. This RFI is to seek information on Contractors who are capable of providing the materials specified in this RFI for the production of the CPPW. A Contractor may choose to respond on all or part of the materials described with this RFI. No awards will be made as a result of this RFI. This is for market research only and the information obtained will assist the Government in determining their acquisition strategy for these materials. The applicable materials sought under this RFI are at paragraphs 3.3.1.2 CPPW Bottom Material and 3.3.1.3 Window Material in the attached PURCHASE DESCRIPTION WRAP, CHEMICAL PATIENT PROTECTIVE. Responses should indicate and provide certification of compliance with all material and testing specifications related to these two items. The Period of performance is estimated to be One (1) calendar year, starting date of award, with up to four (4) option years. With a quantity of approximately 1500 yards of Bottom Material and 185 yards of Window Material per year. Responses must include type and specification of material proposed, Certification that material meets all relevant physical and testing specifications in the attached Purchase Description, time line for Pre-production sample expressed in days after award, and time line for delivery of final product expressed in days after approval of pre-production sample.
