As DoD's lead laboratory for the development of medical countermeasures against chemical threat agents, the USAMRICD is increasingly called upon to provide expert analytical and consultative services related to medical chemical defense research and to the medical management of chemical casualties. The Institute's growing national and international customer base includes other Government agencies, academia, pharmaceutical companies and commercial enterprises. To fulfill this expanding mission, the USAMRICD has a requirement for Brand Name or Equal Olympus SC180 Color Camera. USAMRICD has a mission to discover and develop medical products and knowledge solutions against chemical threats with the vision of strengthening our nation and our world by rendering chemical threats medically harmless. Comparative Pathology Branch, Research Support Division (RSD), USAMRICD, is an integral part of the research vision of USAMRICD, providing support to researchers and their respective animal research protocols to study pathology associated with exposure to chemical or biological warfare agents and a means to assess the efficacy of candidate therapeutics. Pathologists and investigators use a microscope and camera combination to take pictures of microscope slides for publications, to train personnel and to demonstrate areas and structures of interest. This procurement is to update four microscope cameras, three brightfield and one fluorescent, for use with Windows 10 and the current software systems.
