Solicitation N66604-15-R-1701 is a non-sealed bid procurement issued by the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport for a Breech Extension Guideway and associated data. This fixed-price contract, categorized under NAICS code 332322 and designated as a rated order under the Defense Production Act, requires the contractor to provide the Breech Extension Guideway and all necessary technical data. The procurement process has been managed by the Department of Defense, with Justen K.J. Cantan serving as the primary contract negotiator. Throughout the solicitation process, multiple amendments were issued to clarify technical specifications and extend deadlines. A primary point of technical clarification across several amendments confirms that the main body of the Breech Extension Guideway must be a forging rather than a casting or weldment, and the contractor is responsible for procuring both the forging and the required forging drawings. Administrative updates included the addition of Mary Ann Gardner as a point of contact and revised proposal submission instructions requiring electronic delivery partitioned into technical and cost volumes. The final closing date for the receipt of offers was extended via Amendment 0006.
