AI Contract Overview
This Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) issued by the Department of Defense, specifically through the Test & Evaluation/Science & Technology (T&E/S&T) Program, seeks to advance research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E) technologies critical for future warfighting capabilities. The program targets projects within Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) 3 to 6 that improve the quality, cost-efficiency, and timeliness of DoD test and evaluation efforts across the entire acquisition spectrum, including developmental, operational, and live-fire testing. Emphasizing innovation, the BAA accepts high-risk, potentially high-reward technologies, including novel approaches that traditional methods have not yet adopted. Prospective applicants must carefully review the full BAA document and submit white papers by the stipulated deadlines to the designated contracting officer and distribution list. Among the specific challenges highlighted under this BAA is the fabrication of a high-G centrifuge meant for inertial measurement unit testing, capable of simulating accelerations up to 300 g with exceptional precision and advanced features such as multi-axis repositioning and continuous power and signal transmission. The solicitation calls for affordable and sustainable solutions that support long-term facility maintenance and reliability. The BAA was posted in April 2026 and remains active through March 2037, with regular updates anticipated. Contact points are established at the W6QK Acc-Orlando office, providing direct communication channels for technical and submission inquiries.

Full Description
This Broad Agency Announcement's (BAA’s) purpose is to enable the Test & Evaluation/Science & Technology (T&E/S&T) Program to focus on Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), Advanced Technology Development for technologies required to test and evaluate future warfighting capabilities. The T&E/S&T Program addresses test technology needs across the full spectrum of DoD Acquisition, including Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E), Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E), and Live-Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E). The T&E/S&T Program sponsors projects with Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) 3-6 and does not sponsor basic/fundamental or applied research. The T&E/S&T Program seeks technology that will result in DoD T&E being higher quality (better), more cost effective (cheaper), and more-timely (faster). The T&E/S&T Program will accept a high degree of technical risk to fund innovations that could result in high-payoff technological advancements. The T&E/S&T Program will consider novel, unproven solutions that are deemed too risky to be adopted in current DoD T&E approaches.
