The Broome Transformer Replacement project involves the procurement and installation of a new transformer at the Broome DDSO facility, with the contractor required to provide a one-year warranty covering both materials and labor. The project scope and requirements are detailed in attached documents, and a mandatory site visit is scheduled for January 24, 2024, at 10:00 am, with attendance verification essential for submitting a quote. The selection process is based on a request for quotes (RFQ), emphasizing the lowest responsible and responsive bid that meets the scope specifications, with the potential for rejection of any or all submissions. Vendors must demonstrate at least two years of relevant experience, submit proof of liability and workers’ compensation insurance, and adhere to specified timeframes for project completion, typically within 60 days of receiving the purchase order. All quotes must include a detailed cost breakdown covering materials, labor, and overhead, and be submitted by February 1, 2024, via email, mail, fax, or hand delivery to the Broome DDSO Business Office. The project also mandates compliance with prevailing wage laws, requiring certified payroll records upon invoicing, with non-compliance resulting in payment delays. The contract is not set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned businesses, and the award will be made to the lowest qualified bidder, with tie bids resolved by earliest submission. The process emphasizes strict adherence to submission guidelines, timely attendance at the site visit, and comprehensive documentation to ensure eligibility and compliance.
