The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) plans to award a firm fixed-price contract to EDO Corporation, a subsidiary of Exelis Inc., for the procurement of approximately 670 BRU-55A/A Aircraft Bomb Ejector Racks, along with engineering and technical support and associated data. EDO Corporation, as the original manufacturer, possesses the proprietary data and necessary expertise to fulfill the government's requirements within the specified timeframe. The contract will be awarded without competition, as the government has determined that EDO's unique capabilities and proprietary information justify a sole-source acquisition. The procurement is aligned with the North American Industry Classification Systems code 336413, which covers manufacturing of aircraft parts and auxiliary equipment. Interested subcontractors are encouraged to contact Vincent Gac for potential opportunities, but no additional written information about the contract will be provided, and requests for such will be disregarded. A prerequisite for contract award will be registration in the Department of Defense’s Central Contractor Registration database. The government makes no commitment to issue a solicitation or award a contract and reserves the right to modify or cancel the procurement process. The points of contact for this effort are Contract Specialists Linda Tome and Stephen Lucianetti at NAVAIR, who can be reached via email or phone for further inquiries.
