Full Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a fixed price contract, on a sole source basis, to KWD Manufacturing Corp. in San Antonio, TX for a quantity of two (2) Build Up Kit, QEC Dolly, P/N: 200-000-102, NSN: 1740-01-350-1162; and two (2) QEC/Engine Build Up Dolly, P/N: 200-000-104, NSN: 1740-01-231-4826. These items are required to support the Japan E-2D aircraft. The Government intends to procure the above items under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." The Government does not own the data rights and a competitive drawing package for this effort is not available. This notification is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
