In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acquisition Management System (AMS) 3.2.2.4 Single Source, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with Tri-M Group, LLC of Kennett Square, PA. This procurement is for the conversion of an existing building automation system, to the Andover Continuum Automation System, a proprietary automation system, used at the William J Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC) to allow for 24/7 monitoring of critical HVAC systems at a testing facility at the center. The current system utilized at the test facility cannot connect to the WJHTC Central Utility Plant (CUP), due to the proprietary nature of the automation system used throughout the WJHTC. The test facility to be converted, houses several laboratories/test cells. The laboratories rely on specific airflows to provide the required room pressurization. Converting the existing system and building to the CUP and the Andover Continuum system, via Tri-M Group LLC, will provide monitoring and control of these critical systems 24/7 at the test facility. Due to the proprietary nature of the system overall, only authorized service providers/dealers can procure equipment for the conversion and service the Andover Continuum automation system. As such, Tri-M Group LLC is an authorized dealer/service provider and is the only dealer/service provider for the territory in which the William J Hughes Technical Center falls under. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. Any questions regarding this announcement should be directed to Stephanie Linck via email contact@example.gov by 9:00 AM EST, on Monday August 6, 2018. The FAA will not pay for any information or any administrative costs associated with any responses to this announcement. If you're viewing this announcement from a source other than Federal Aviation Administration Contract Opportunities (FAACO), visit https://faaco.faa.gov/index.cfm/announcement/view/30995 to view the original announcement.

Aviation Research BAA 2025
Solicitation # 692M15-25-R-00004
The Aviation Research BAA 2025, solicitation number 692M15-25-R-00004, is a long-term initiative sponsored by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to support basic and applied research at the William J. Hughes Technical Center for Advanced Aerospace. Valid from December 5, 2024, through December 4, 2034, this Broad Agency Announcement seeks to advance the state-of-the-art in aerospace safety and efficiency across five primary program branches: Airport Technology R&D, Software and Systems, Structures and Propulsion, Separation Standards Analysis, and Fire Safety. The FAA encourages submissions from a diverse range of offerors, including academia, industry, and small businesses, to address evolving air transportation challenges. The solicitation utilizes a phased submission process where interested parties first submit brief white papers for specific Topics of Interest. If a white paper is deemed meritorious, the FAA may request a formal proposal consisting of a technical volume and a price/cost volume. Awards are made bilaterally based on a favorable feasibility assessment, with cost analyzed for reasonableness and realism rather than being a rated factor. While funding varies by project, rough order of magnitude estimates range from $100,000 to $1.2 million per award, with many projects anticipated to be funded annually for a period of 12 to 36 months. All offerors must maintain active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award.
