Building Demolition, Norway House, MB

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) intends to retain a Contractor to provide construction services for its Norway House decommissioned detachment. The site is to be asbestos abated and demolished to provide a clear site for future construction. The contractor will be responsible for the demolition and disposal of the existing Facility Building, Radio Tower and Tower Foundation. This also includes the demolition and disposal of existing site works including concrete sidewalks and wood parking fencing and the disconnection of existing sewer and water system and capping them at the mains. Electricity is shut off but wiring is still connected to the building. The contract period will be until August 31, 2027. The anticipated start date is November 01, 2026. This solicitation of bids is open only to Canadian suppliers. This procurement has been set aside under the federal government's Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business (PSIB). In order to be considered, a supplier must certify that it qualifies as an Indigenous business as defined under PSIB and that it will comply with all requirements of PSIB. This procurement is set aside from all the trade agreements under the provision each has that permits the procurement to be set aside for Indigenous business. Security Requirements – Contractors will be required to RCMP Facility Access Level I(FA1). There will be an optional Phase Two site visit. The date, time and location for the Phase Two site visit will be identified during Phase Two.
