The Department of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) requires non-intrusive seismic assessment such as a sensing-based structural analysis for existing buildings under Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) 2018 Seismic Standards (hereinafter referred to as the Standard) https://www.tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca/biens-property/sngp-npms/bi-rp/tech/sismique-seismic-eng.html. The Standard addresses seismic (earthquake) resistance assessment and is a requirement for new and existing buildings.The assessment must:Comply with the PSPC’s seismic standard requirements for existing buildings.Use a performance-based seismic approach to increase reliability of the retrofit design and building life cycle; andProactively identify any potential structural risks and implement required structural mitigation measures
