- Windshields meeting NIJ Level III (38mm +/-5% and 21mm +/-5%) Suburban 2009-2011 Transparent Armor: Transparent armor shall be of one-piece construction with anti-spall inner layer. The transparent armor shall be laminated construction and shall have a material alone capability of meeting or exceeding the ballistic protection of NIJ Level III. Exposed Polycarbonate surface shall be treated with an abrasion resistant coating with Certificate of Compliance.
- Door Window Glass (Transparent Armor) shall meet NIJ Level III BR6 (38mm +/-5%) or BR4 (21mm +/-5%) for the applicable Chevrolet Suburban vehicles as detailed within this document. Transparent armor shall be of one-piece construction with anti-spall inner layer. The transparent armor shall be laminated construction and shall have a material alone capability of meeting or exceeding the ballistic protection of NIJ Level III.
