Burlingame Town Square Paver Sealing

The City of Burlingame is soliciting bids for the cleaning and sealing of approximately 20,750 square feet of pavers at the Burlingame Town Square, located at 265 Lorton Ave, Burlingame, CA 94010. The project requires the contractor to remove stains and efflorescence using methods that do not disturb the locking polymer aggregate, apply polymeric sand where necessary, and apply a coat of Penetrating Enhancing Sealer. To ensure the Town Square remains partially open to the public, work must be completed in sections and is strictly limited to weekdays between 7 AM and 3 PM. The contractor is responsible for the protection, removal, and replacement of landscaping, furniture, and other amenities, as well as maintaining a safe work area for the public. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the price per square foot. Bidders must provide a statement of experience qualifications demonstrating at least five years in the contracting business and similar work. Compliance requirements include adhering to the State of California Standard Specifications 2010, paying prevailing wage rates per California Labor Code Section 1773.2, and providing necessary bonds and insurance. Submission requirements include a non-collusion declaration, a statement under Public Contract Code Section 10285.1 regarding prior convictions, and a questionnaire regarding bidder disqualifications under Public Contract Code Section 10162.
