C--Intent to award fixed price sole source award

The 177 Fighter Wing intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract to Hatch Mott MacDonald formerly Staunton Chow, for A & E Services for the follow on design of a Weapons Release project. Staunton Chow was the original A & E firm for type "A" and "B" Services for project AQRC982032. The project did not progress beyond Type "A" services because of a scope change. Staunton Chow's design team which is now employed by Hatch Mott MacDonald is very familiar with the facility requirements and the infrastructure identified during the Type "A" design from the original scope for this project. This notice is for informational purposes only; no formal solicitation will be issued as a result of this announcement. This is not a request for quote. This is a special notice prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. However, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 3 days from the date of publication of this announcement. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the 177 Fighter Wing will proceed with awarding a fixed price type contract to Hatch Mott MacDonald for A & E Services.
