C--Intent to Sole Source Architect Engineering Services for West Point Middle School, New York and Johnson Primary School/Bitz Intermediate School, Camp LeJeune, North Carolina.

THIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to award, on a sole source basis, contracts to Woolpert, Inc. These sole source contracts are required for completion of the remaining scopes of work defined in the task orders listed below, issued to Woolpert, Inc. These task orders were issued under a properly synopsized and competed IDIQ contract. Prior to issuance of these task orders, as a result of administrative inadvertence, an option to extend the IDIQ contract was not timely exercised. These task orders were within the scope, within the maximum value of the IDIQ contract, and within the potential period of performance of the IDIQ contract had the options been exercised timely. In the interest of transparency, in an abundance of caution, and to prevent any continued actual or apparent irregularities, the Government is pursuing the actions identified herein to correct internal administrative mistakes. W91236-09-D-0044, Task Order No. 0019: West Point A&E The Architect-Engineer is required to furnish all necessary construction phase services (as designer of record) in support of the construction effort for the West Point Middle School, New York, Addition and Renovation. W91236-09-D-0044, Task Order No. 0024: Johnson Primary School Water Damage The Architect-Engineer is required to furnish all necessary design and secondary services required to prepare a contract solicitation package for Johnson Primary School Parking/Drop-off and Storm Water Design, Investigation of Johnson Primary School Gym Floor Water Damage, Meets and Bounds Survey of Johnson Primary School and Bitz IS, Camp LeJeune, North Carolina. All responsible sources may submit a response, which, if timely received, will be considered by the agency. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. It is a market research tool being used to determine the availability of other qualified sources that can meet the requirements identified above. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice of intent. All responses received within 15 days of the posting of this notice, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
