The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, intends to solicit, negotiate and make an award on a sole-source basis to Midwest Aircraft Machine & Tool Company CAGE: (1SWT0), the authorized distributor for the proprietary data rights owner Rolls Royce deferred to during market research for the procurement of Part Number 23055812,  SET, BORESCOPE GUIDE TUBE, Part Number 23066649 SET, REM/INSTL, PU ACCY DR G/B & GMAD SEAL and Part Number 23068494 BORESCOPE PLUG PULLER, required to meet initial stand-up quantities for the Kinston Depot C-130 project. This PN is required to perform Organizational/Intermediate and Depot Level Maintenance tasks on C-130 type aircraft.


This acquisition is being pursued on a sole-source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.103-1(c)(2)(ii), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements.


THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
