AI Contract Overview
The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 8 intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price contract to Design Build Consortium, LLC, a certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, for Construction Period Services under NAICS code 541330. This action supports Project 548-23-105 for the upgrade of interior signage and wayfinding at the Thomas H. Corey VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. The procurement is authorized under 41 USC 3304(a)(5), 38 U.S. Code 8127(c), and VAAR 819.7008, which allows for non-competitive awards to SDVOSBs up to 5 million dollars. Design Build Consortium, LLC was previously awarded the contract to produce the 100 percent construction documents for this project. Because the firm possesses the necessary technical knowledge and experience, the government seeks to utilize them for project administration during the construction phase to avoid duplication of costs and unwarranted delays. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals; therefore, no solicitation will be issued. Interested parties wishing to contest the sole source procurement must submit information to the contracting officer, Melissa Everett, by September 9, 2026, at 5:00 pm Eastern Time.
