The Department of Veterans Affairs, through its VHA Regional Office Procurement Office Central, Network Contracting Office 10, plans to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price contract to PDC Facilities, the original equipment manufacturer of the MRI system installed at the Chillicothe VAMC. Due to the exclusivity of PDC Facilities as the OEM and their policy prohibiting third-party vendors from servicing their equipment, only PDC Facilities is capable of providing the necessary services under the new agreement. The contract will cover a range of specialized equipment and services related to the MRI system, including LED bulbs, directional lights, a DC lighting control system, MRI-safe video displays, tablets with theme and lighting control apps, MR-compatible speakers, a Blu-Ray/DVD player, HDMI connections for third-party content, a wireless access point, control rack components, software and theme updates, and an illuminated ceiling image. This action is being publicly posted to satisfy regulatory requirements but is not a solicitation for competitive proposals at this time. Interested parties may submit written notice demonstrating their capability to fulfill the requirement by a specified deadline, although the government intends to negotiate solely with PDC Facilities unless convincing evidence shows that competition would benefit future procurements. All inquiries and responses must be directed via email to the designated contracting specialist, Dionna Jones-Banks. The contract’s North American Industry Classification System code is 238990, indicating specialty trade contractors related to this service acquisition.
