ST450-17 Brief Scope: Replace 28 infrared 1000 BTUH heaters, 2000 LF of 4" 16 gauge porcelain coated combustion chamber, 9 control panels and associated components. This project will replace all 28 infared heaters and combustion chamber in warehouse CAD 565 Williamsburg VA. Affected sqft: 125,000 Builder FCI :94 Execution Agent: NAVFAC Acquisition Method: D/B Design Funds Required: N/A Date of last major renovation: NONE Shore Capability Area / Warfighting Enterp Current Situation Existing Heaters are at the end of their life cycle heaters require more maintenance and repairs as they age. When the combustion chamber fails the system will be inoperable and patching will be extremely difficult as older parts are increasingly difficult to procure. Impact If Not Provided: If these heaters are not replaced soon they will fail to provide adequate heating to the building. Assemblages of packaged hospitals and Bio-medical labs will be at risk of not meeting mission build requirements by allowing material and equipment to freeze.
