Call for Solutions Fused Deposition Modeling Printer Capability

The U.S. Army, through the Army Contracting Command – Redstone Arsenal on behalf of the Aviation and Missile Command, is seeking innovative Advanced Manufacturing Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) printer solutions to address critical readiness gaps in aviation maintenance operations at Corpus Christi Army Depot and potentially Letterkenny Army Depot. The solicitation, issued under Army Open Solicitation W9128Z-25-S-A002 and conducted via Commercial Solutions Opening procedures per DFARS subpart 212.70, aims to rapidly deploy FDM technology capable of producing OEM-quality parts, tools, jigs, fixtures, and ground support equipment to mitigate supply chain challenges and obsolescence issues in accordance with Army Regulation 750-1. The requirement includes two printer models with specified build envelopes and accuracy standards—one with a minimum 16 x 14 x 16 inch build volume and another with a 36 x 24 x 36 inch build volume—along with ancillary equipment such as dryer cabinets, power line conditioners, 3D slicer software, ULTEM 9085 feedstock, and STIG-compliant operating systems.
