The University of Texas at Austin is seeking qualified firms to provide construction administration, technical oversight, and commissioning services for an architectural water feature as part of the East Mall Phase I renovation project under Capital Improvement Project 102-1501. The water feature is a non-interactive fountain that includes arching and vertical nozzles, perimeter weir overflow, VFD-controlled pumps, automated Allen-Bradley Micro850 PLC/DMX control systems, UV sterilization, filtration, lighting, and supporting MEP infrastructure, all to be installed in full compliance with Division 13 10 00 Water Features. The selected firm will serve as the owner’s representative, responsible for reviewing submittals, conducting on-site inspections of piping, controls, waterproofing, and system components, coordinating with contractors, responding to RFIs, and ensuring successful completion of a ten-day continuous operational demonstration followed by O&M training for the general contractor. All deliverables must include approved as-built documentation and verification of design intent and system performance per the specified technical standards.
