The response deadline time is 14:00 EST. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is engaging industry to understand how to refresh its biometric collection capabilities and to potentially allow for future expanded service offerings of the Canadian Immigration Biometric Identification System (CIBIDS). IRCC is seeking input and feedback from the biometric community at large to meet the following objectives of the Request for Information (RFI): (1) Identifying the latest innovations and emerging trends in mobile and stationary biometric collection hardware and software technologies for both live facial image and fingerprint capture. (2) Determining best practices for: (a) safeguarding the integrity of the biometric enrolment process; and (b) management of a globally operated and distributed fleet of biometric device endpoints. (3) Identifying challenges Suppliers encounter in achieving the following socio-economic objectives: (a) Indigenous Participation Plan; (b) Greenhouse Gas; (c) Environmentally Preferable Packaging; and (d) Gender-Based Analysis Plus (GBA Plus).
