The contract for the Rose Golden Tree Planting Project, intended for tree establishment services on approximately 82 acres of Wetland Reserve Program easements in Gallatin County, Illinois, has been cancelled due to lack of funding and sensitivity regarding the planting time. The project originally called for a contractor to provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to perform site preparation, digging planting holes, and planting trees according to specified standards. The anticipated scope involved services under NAICS code 115112, covering soil preparation, planting, and cultivating, with a project magnitude estimated between $25,000 and $100,000. It was set as a Total Small Business set-aside, and required contractors to be registered and compliant with the System for Award Management prior to bid submission. The solicitation detailed site visits, documentation requirements, and the need for written correspondence related to contracting matters, emphasizing no phone calls for formal communications. The contracting officer and points of contact were specified for correspondence and questions. Contract performance was planned to begin upon award and continue through the later part of 2014, with the work location in Clark County, Illinois. However, since the pre-solicitation notice has been officially cancelled in its entirety, no further actions or submissions are to be made at this time.
